This is an electronic circuit design course. The objective is to understand the operation of semiconductor diodes and transistors and how they are used to design electronic circuits.

Topics include: Circuit elements, network theorems, SPICE, bipolar transistors. MOS transistors, biasing, small signal analysis, operational amplifiers.

After taking this course you will be able to;

  • simulate electronic circuits using SPICE.
  • analyze AC circuits.
  • apply linear network theorems to electronic circuits.
  • design nonlinear diode circuits
  • understand the operation of bipolar and MOS transistors
  • design transistor amplifiers
  • analyze and design operational amplifier circuits
