The Legion's greater aim is to be a leaven in the community. Active and Auxiliary Legionaries, through their prayers and work, have a positive effect on the community.

When you do your work at the literature stand, bring the Pilgrim Virgin to people's homes, visit shut-ins, talk to students, teach religious education, work on extension, lead the Rosary of recruit Auxiliary members, you are noticed . You are like a shining light. A light not hidden in under a basket but displayed for people to see.

In Matthew Chapter 5 verse 16, Jesus says,

"So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."
The witness you give lifts people's spirits. It enhances the kingdom of God.

We are a small group, like a mustard seed, but from what we do the larger church will grow.

The Legion of Mary is a pearl of great price. Our goal is to bring all people to salvation.
