The primary obligation is attendance at the weekly meeting of the praesidium. This supercedes the work. It will happen on occasion that you will be unable to complete your assigned work. Even without work to report, you should attend the meeting. Attending the meeting is your primary obligation.

A plenary Indulgence is gained by reciting the Rosary at the meeting. You have to also go to Confession and pray for the Holy Father.

Jesus says that when 2 or 3 are gathered in my name I am with them. We gather in a family atmosphere with God our Father. We are brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mary is with us also. From the cross Jesus said to His mother, "Woman, there is your son" In turn he said to the disciple, "There is your mother." From that hour onward, the disciple took her into his care. John 19:26. Jesus knew he was dying. He was concerned for the welfare of his mother. In those times life was tough for a woman with no support. There was no social security or medicare. Women relied on their sons. Jesus knew he was leaving his mother destitute. He asked John to to take care of her. John took Mary into his home. John represents us. Jesus asks Mary to be our mother. And He also asks us to be devoted to her.

At the meeting we receive grace and gifts that help us to be effective children of Mary. We learn better ways to do our work. We learn more about our faith. We receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel (Right Judgement), Fortitude(courage), Knowledge, Piety(Reverence) and Fear of the Lord (Wonder and Awe).

At our weekly meeting we gather together with Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Mary to learn how to be more effective children of Mary.
