Praetorian is a higher grade of Active membership.

The regular duties of Active members are listed in the Standing Instructions,

  • attending the weekly meeting,
  • recitation of the Catena,
  • doing active Legionary work, and
  • respecting confidentiality,

Extra duties of Praetorian members include;

  • daily Rosary, Mass, Communion, and Tessera prayers,
  • recitation of an office approved by the Church, such as, the Divine office.
One or two days a week can be missed.

Shorter breviaries containing morning and evening prayers are available. You can down load an ap for your smart phone (iBreviary) containing the breviary prayers, The psalms are inspired by the Holy Spirit. They are the prayers Jesus said when he prayed. Each day is different. They repeat every four weeks. They are synchronized with the Mass readings.

Priests, monks, and religious all over the world pray these same prayers. They are the official prayer of the Church.

Prayers and petitions passed through Mary gain merit and value. They are valuable to the Legion and to the Praetorians themselves.

An army of Legionaries, praying the Rosary, going to Mass and saying an Office every day, elevates our Legion, our parish, the Church, and our country. We need our Praetorians.

Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.
